Betwixt was a startup professional network built around personality-based matching, connecting founders with potential collaborators and investors. A UX partner handled wireframes and I took those into full visual design, covering the app, website, and branding system.

The signature design problem was the activity feed. Every user in the network was assigned a color based on their personality profile. As users scrolled through their timeline, each profile photo sat inside a colored ring that extended to the screen edge and blended continuously into the ring below it. Two users in adjacent posts would gradient into each other, their colors meeting in the middle. The visual effect was both a functional signal and a metaphor for the product itself, people in the process of connecting. It was a small interaction detail but it became the visual identity of the app.
